Being a family of 9 where everyone likes something different can turn into total chaos if there is no organizational system in place. This busy mom reached out to us because she was stuck and overwhelmed and didn’t know where to start. Our team loves a good challenge.
Getting your home organized is 80% the organizer’s work and 20% the client’s. It comes with the future habit changes of no longer putting things away ‘later' and constantly ‘editing’ what you own.
Team Peace organizer Carol, dove right in and tackled space by space using our ‘sort, edit and rehome’ method. Starting with the office and living room toy area, she was able to uncover spaces that haven’t seen light in a while, giving it new life!
Closets are sacred spaces within a home and it’s important to have them organized as efficiently as possible to maximize space. So having the space to put things away is important, if an item has a ‘home’ we are more likely to put it away when we are done with it. Below, Carol spruced up a few closets within the client’s home.
We generally see garages as a catch-all space for almost everything, from outside tools to items that belong in the kitchen. They can be a wonderful storage space as long as there is some sort of organizational order. Having a large family, you can imagine the amount of storage space they need!
One of the client’s main goals was to have their basement area back in working order. From the Lego play area to tools and the massive extra ‘pantry’ shelves. This family needed our help putting a system in place allowing them to find everything they were looking for.
This extra pantry is a dream! Carol organized and labelled all of the food into bins the client already had. This allowed her to see everything with ease and could also help to prevent the amount of food that goes bad by not over buying.
