After selling their second home, this client reached out to us for some much needed help getting their house put back together once everything was moved into her current home. Most of the contents from the move was placed into the basement, which meant a lot of discovery!
Organizer, Carol got right to work and spent the first day on discovery and sorting. On day two, Carol worked with the client to edit everything and decided on its final destination. Donations were taken by carol and trash was handled by the client. What a transformation!
Within the basement was this packed full linen closet of items the client was not using. Paring down more than 75% of the contents, Carol was able to make this space into something more useful; storing old files that the client needed to keep as well as the small amount of linens.
Working in a home with with tons of storage space is a dream, but obviously not always a reality. Using materials the client already had and the enormous amount of storage space, Carol was able to transform this mudroom into a more practical space for the family.
Moving right along into the kitchen, the pantry areas really needed some love and attention. Although the food was in mainly one location, there was no real organization. Carol utilized the smaller pantry for food and the larger one was mainly kitchen overflow and bulkier items.
The last area to be done was the clients closet. Luckily, there was a lot of space and plenty of custom options that could be implemented. All of the clothes were changed over onto velvet hangers that were provided by Peaceful Place. Carol then custom bought linen bins that fit perfectly onto the closet shelves that held foldables and shoes. Overall, there is a lot less visual clutter and all of the organization allows the client to find everything she is looking for!
