Having a home with a lot of storage space can be both a blessing and a curse. Sometimes causing spaces to become overwhelmed with things that don’t belong with no real organization. After many years of raising kids and having full-time jobs, these clients needed our help in multiple areas within their home.
Starting with the basement, Organizers Julie and Jennifer pulled everything out into the main area of the basement and followed our sort and edit process.
An important step within our process is sorting. This means that everything is brought out into one main area and ‘like’ items are grouped together. Allowing the client to see everything during the editing process and make decisions having a better idea of what they have. What a transformation, who doesn’t love an organized storage space!
During the next session, Organizers Julie and Kara worked on the attic. Using bins provided by Peaceful Place and shelving that was already in the basement, they were able to turn their attic space from chaos into an organized space for holiday decorations and memorabilia.
