Basement Organization
Basements are the ultimate “stash-and-dash” area for homes. Year after year of this practice will lead to a severely cluttered space. Which service package is right for you?
Service Packages - Basements
Our 4-step process
1. Take every item out from where it’s hiding and sort it into areas with like items. We do all the heaving and hauling.
2. Go through all the items with you - and you decide what to keep and what to let go. This goes faster than you would think!
3. Re-home and safely containerize every item you are keeping. This part includes:
- Buying and assembling shelves if necessary
- Buying the appropriate bins and containerizing all items.
- Labeling all bins
4. Taking away all donations, recycling, and trash. For large amounts, we will arrange other vendors to haul away all the stuff you’re not keeping.
The end result? A basement you can get around in - and in which you can find everything you have easily. And you don’t have to worry if you have a flood or a humidity issue - all your items are safely stored.
Recent Basement Projects
Many of our clients live a very busy life with not much time or energy left at the end of a hard day to come home and organize. After some recent life changes, this client reached out to us to regain her storage and craft space located within the basement.
Having a home with a lot of storage space can be both a blessing and a curse. Sometimes causing spaces to become overwhelmed with things that don’t belong with no real organization. After many years of raising kids, these clients needed our help in multiple areas within their home.
During the pandemic more people started working from home and having a young child while working can be very chaotic if there is no order. After a long day, having a more peaceful space to live in is essential for both our minds and body. The ultimate goal for the clients’ was to make sure everything had a place and that there were systems in place.
Do you ever feel overwhelmed by the disorganization within your home and don’t know where to start? Well, that’s where our amazing team comes in! After many years of going back and forth between houses, this client was ready to sell one of their homes and finally downsize.
Moving can be stressful for anyone, but when you are moving into a smaller home and need to downsize at the same time, things can get overwhelming. Before moving into their summer cottage for good, this client did about 60% of the work before time ran out and everything was moved. Peaceful Place was called in to help finish the job and make sure everything had a place in their ‘new’ home.
Over the years, homes have the ability to store items we know we no longer need, but don’t want to get rid of. Typically the areas that are meant for ‘storage’ and are used less, tend to have the most buildup. In this instance, it was the clients basement and garage, along with other spaces throughout the house.
Team Peace organizers did a refresher in Dennis, set up shelves and transformed a basement in Wellfleet, and brought a clothes closet in Brewster to beautiful order.
In Whitman, lead organizer Peggy helped our client with his clothes and basement. He wins the prize for having the most minimalist wardrobe of any client in the history of Peaceful Place!
After selling their second home, this client reached out to us for some much needed help getting their house put back together once everything was moved into her current home. Most of the contents from the move was placed into the basement, which meant a lot of discovery!
